Bird Photography Trip with Horacio – December 2025
The bird photography trip with Horacio in December 2025 was one of the best trips of my life.
A friend recommended Buenos Días Birding, specifically Horacio as a guide. The trip exceeded all my expectations.
Diversity. We visited many different regions: steppes, high elevations, Pacific coast islands, and cloud forests. The geographic coverage and habitat diversity were excellent.
Species. We observed many hundreds of species, including several rare and endemic birds: Magellanic Woodpecker, Austral Pygmy Owl, Plumbeous Rail, Magellanic Penguins, and many other treats for bird photographers.
Photography-oriented guiding. Horacio is not only a serious biologist with excellent knowledge of Argentine flora and fauna; he is also an excellent photographer. This was a key factor in the success of the trip. Sometimes he got very excited simply by spotting a bird, but most importantly he always found ways to position us for a great photograph.
Knowledge. As we traveled through different regions, Horacio continuously shared deep and insightful information about birds, wildlife, and ecosystems.
Relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Wild bird photography (no feeders) is not easy, but Horacio made the experience enjoyable and relaxed.
Excellent accommodations and food. We stayed in many places during the trip, and each one was comfortable and well chosen. Horacio also knows the best places to experience Argentine and Chilean cuisine.
Driving and logistics. The trip covered many miles, but Horacio’s safe driving and excellent route planning made everything smooth and comfortable.
